Playing Responsibly

BETTING IN A RESPONSIBLE WAY

Internet betting is a form of entertainment enjoyed by millions of people. Most of the people bet without experiencing any kind of problem. Nevertheless, the same way there are people that may become addicted to alcohol or tobacco; it is possible that a person may become addicted to betting. According to various investigations only 1% of the adult population suffers from this problem, for Lotedo just one addicted player is already a problem.

You can't predict who is going to develop an addiction problem, but once identified it can be treated with success.

LOTEDO supports responsible gaming. However, compulsive betting is not easily detected and therefore we have adopted several measures to address this problem:

a) The LOTEDO training program incorporates methods and techniques that help our employees to identify and adopt adequate measures when they identify compulsive betting or minors.

b) We have implemented an auto restriction program for those needing our help. When requested we will cancel their affiliation and will not allow them to enter the gaming sites.

c) Likewise we will allow them to define their maximum amount for deposit purposes.

d) When requested we will eliminate his/her name from our e-mails list.

For you to enjoy a positive experience while visiting our gaming sites, we suggest you follow these guidelines:

  1. Make sure that when you decide to bet that it is your personal decision.
  2. Before you start betting, determine what amount represents an acceptable loss.
  3. Never bet if:
    • You are a below the minimum legal age for betting.
    • The bets affect your work and other responsibilities.
    • You are recovering from any kind of addictions.
    • You are under the influence of alcohol or any other regulated substance.
    • You are trying to recover from losses in previous bets.

You should know how to set limits and know when to stop. Like with many other things when done in moderation could provide pleasure, but if abused or taken to extremes could result in disaster. If betting is something you do as a result of need as opposed to want or if you believe that you may have a betting addiction problem, you may obtain more information by contacting Lotedo via Lotedo@lotedo.com or by contacting the following organizations or other local organizations for gambling addictions.

Underage Betting

Casino betting is one of the least popular form of betting amongst minors. In Dominican Republic, where LOTEDO is licensed, betting for persons under 18 years old is prohibited.

Our casino sites are not designed to attract minors; we strongly deter and discourage minors from betting in Lotedo. We pursue all suspected violators of underage betting.

Underage betting is not a harmless activity and may begin when adults accompanied by children, visit casinos or invite them to play lottery games.

If minors have access to a computer with casino software, we encourage you to:

  • Install protection software for minors.
  • Do not leave minors alone with the computer when there is a casino software active.
  • Protect your casino software with passwords.
  • Do not allow any person under 18 years old to engage in any betting activity.
  • Keep your user name, LOTEDO passwords, and your credit cards confidential and out of reach from minors.
  • Educate your children about legality and the potential harm of underage betting.

Unfortunately, no system is infallible. Some minors may avoid these detecting methods. If you know a person under 18 years old registered in LOTEDO, inform immediately our Security Department at: lotedo@lotedo.com
